Carole Ann Baker, 76, of Spur, Texas, passed away Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Carole was born May 10, 1947, in Spur, Texas, to James Alvin Baker and Lela Mae (Ussery). Carole enjoyed growing up in Spur and graduated from Spur High School in 1965.

SPUR, TEXAS— On October 24, 2023, Gayle Massaro was called home with God after a brief illness. Gayle was born in Flint, Michigan, and lived in a few different states over the years. After a career in law enforcement, in 2017 she retired and settled in Spur.

Annette Thomas was born on March 26, 1949 in Abilene, Texas, to Ernest and Geraldine Stewart. She graduated from Crosbyton High School in 1967.

Michael Larry Hoyle passed away in Lubbock, Texas, on October 12, 2023, at the age of 82. Larry was born on March 3, 1941, at his home in Roaring Springs, Texas, to Mike and Virginia Hoyle. After Larry attended elementary school through the 3rd grade in Roaring Springs, the family moved to Matador, where he graduated from Matador High School in 1959. As a child, he was an active Boy Scout and member of the Methodist Youth Fellowship. He was also a member of the Matador football team and FFA.
