GUTHRIE FILM STANDOUT The "Return to the Remuda Sale" documentary film, written and produced by Eli Jenkins, JJ Gibson, Brance Boger, Javier Echavarri, Jose Ramirez and Rue McNiel, made it through the first two qualifying rounds to the UIL Film state semifinals and placed in the top 12 films in Division 1 (1A-4A). There were 263 films submitted in this Division 1, with 52 films in the documentary category. Placing in the top 12 out of 52 films on their first attempt ever is an achievement; Guthrie was also the only 1A school that made it to the semifinal round. COURTESY PHOTOS
