A common mistake made by cow-calf producers is not placing enough emphasis on purchasing a bull. Too often producers view the bull as just another area of expense to be cut. However, due to the tremendous impact he has on the entire calf crop, the bull should be treated as an important investment for the cow-calf producer.
There’s a bigger difference between the haves and the have-nots in the 15-1A basketball race for the boys than the girls. Whereas a variety of scenarios could affect the girls when three teams are tied for second, the boys’ race is much more defined.
It’s that time of year again—UIL One-Act Play time, that is. Jayton and Spur high school drama troupes are busy preparing for ambitious productions they will workshop during clinics and then stage for district contests in Spur on March 5.
At press time three games remain for the six girls’ basketball teams in district 15-1A, but potential playoff scenarios far outnumber the half dozen competitors.
