Travelers driving up U.S. Highway 62 in Crosby County may recognize the red-brick schoolhouse at Cone that leaves them with questions. This tiny village just outside Floyd County established a post office in 1903. It had a general store, churches, and small businesses at one time. There isn’t much left there these days. The Harmony Plains Singing School will convene there again Sunday evening, July 16, through Friday evening, July 21, 2023, for its 59th session.
