Jerry Wane Shobert

Jerry Wayne Shobert, 75, of Spur, Texas passed from this life on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018.

Jerry was born on Oct. 31, 1943 in McCurtain, OK to Louis Lee Shobert and Gladys Vera Bean. Jerry married Lurlene Farley on Sept. 8, 1975.

He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved golfing, camping, fishing and spending time with family.

Survivors include his wife, one brother, Donnie Shobert, of Lubbock; his daughters, Missy Watson and husband Shane of Sulphur Springs, Stephanie Kautz and husband Sammy of Spur, Kim Hrabal of Sulphur Springs and Jamie Sartin of Sulphur Springs; his sons, Shane and wife Lisa of Spur and Dennis Nelson and wife Norine of Dallas. He had 13 grandkids and 12 great-grandkids.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jimmy.

His life will be celebrated on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the home of Shane Shobert.
