Michael L Winkler, 1948–2021

SNYDER—Michael L Winkler, 73 of Midland, Texas, died on Thursday, April 15, 2021 in Snyder. A private family memorial service will be held and is under the direction of Bell Cypert Seale Funeral Home.

Mr. Winkler was born on February 20, 1948 in Crosbyton, Texas, to Billy Pat and Nina Faye (Gunn) Winkler of Crosbyton. He graduated from Spur High School in 1966. He attended West Texas University in Canyon, Texas, on a football scholarship. After graduation, he moved to Midland, Texas. He worked as a quality control engineer for a oilfield pup equiptment company in the Midland/Odessa area. After 43 years of service he retired. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family. He also enjoyed going to the gym, jogging, and spending time at the shooting range.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Banyan Winkler and wife Vanessa of Snyder and Bryce Winkler and wife Giana of Snyder; one brother, Jimmy Winkler and wife Mary Elaine of Rockwall, Texas; one niece, Mary Leigh and husband Nick of Rockwall; one nephew, Ben Winkler of Tallahassee, Florida; and five grandchildren, Victoria Winkler, Laramie Winkler, Briann Winkler, Briley Winkler and Bryden Winkler
