Nancy Cathey

Nancy Cathey, 66, of San Angelo, formerly of Abilene, died Monday, Aug. 5, 2019, at her home. Visitation was held on August 7 at Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman. Services were held August 8 at the Brown Ranch Cemetery, under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

She was born Nancy Fletcher on Nov. 2, 1952, in Crosbyton, Texas, a daughter of Harry Pat Fletcher and Robbie Hoover Fletcher. She grew up in Spur and Brownfield, moving to Levelland during her sophomore year of high school and graduated from there. On Jan. 19, 1971, she married Terry Cathey in Levelland. Following their marriage they lived in Abilene for several years before moving to San Angelo five years ago. She was a homemaker and enjoyed ceramics and painting. She loved her grandchildren and puppies.

She is survived by her husband, Terry Cathey of San Angelo; children, Patrick Cathey of San Angelo and Corey Cathey and wife Lisa of San Angelo; grandchildren, Ashley, Marissa, Keeley, Hannah, Hunter, Braxton, Wyatt, Brayden, Robbie, Rusty, Michael and Charles; one great-grandchild, Raleigh; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Pam Fletcher of Carlsbad, New Mexico; several nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Graham and Patricia Cathey, Lynda and Ray Wheeler, Karen Parker, Lora and Les Dockery, and Ronnie Miller.

She was preceded in death by a son, Justin Cathey; and two brothers, Jackie Fletcher and Ronnie Fletcher.
