Willie Dane (Pritchard) Quattlebaum, 1928–2021
Willie Quattlebaum, age 92, of Crosbyton, Texas, died Saturday, April 17, 2021 in Brownfield, Texas. She was born August 17, 1928, in Boswell, Oklahoma, to Cicero and Viola Pritchard. She married Howard Richey in Croton, Texas, on October 2, 1946. He preceded her in death. She married John E. Quattlebaum on August 16, 1954 in Dickens, Texas. He preceded her in death.
Willie was known for her excellent cooking and hard work. She loved the games of Skip-Bo and dominos. She loved her pets Red, Lady, Max, Ethel and Scooter. Her kids, grandkids, great-grands, nephews and nieces were her life. Willie worked for City Drug, the Transformer, the Boll Weevil program and the Dixie Dog in Spur, Texas.
Willie is preceded in death by her brothers Jack Pritchard, Albert Pritchard and Jimmy Pritchard; sisters Zora Lamb, Marie Pritchard, Wanda Jean Fox, Edith Baber, Jane Bean and Maxine Pritchard; and one grandson, Joe Brent Stanaland.
Willie is survived by a daughter, Brenda Stanaland, and her husband, Jody, of Girard, Texas; a son, Wayne Richey, and his wife, Ella Jo, of Idalou, Texas; a granddaughter, Raegane Richey, of Austin, Texas; a granddaughter, Joy Patranella, and her husband, Alan, of Jayton, Texas; a granddaughter, Sierra Richey of Albuquerque, NM; four great-grandchildren, Madison and Jeri Holcomb, and Sarah and Kylee Stanaland; and a host of nephews and nieces.
