Jeannie C. Moore, 1951–2020

Jeannie Moore joined the angels in heaven on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at the age of 69. Funeral services were held Saturday October 24, 2020, at Spur Memorial Cemetery Chapel at 2 p.m. with Kermit Woolley offciating. Visitation was held Friday evening, October 23, 2020 from 6 to 7 p.m. under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home.

Jeannie was born September 20, 1951, in Crosbyton, Texas. Jeannie was a graduate of Spur High School class of 1970 and went on to graduate with her bachelor of science in education at Texas Tech University in 1974. She touched the lives of many students during her teaching career at Spur and Crosbyton school districts. After many years of teaching, she began her career at Spur Security Bank and later retired to enjoy life with her family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening and spending time working in the yard.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Delwin and Jean Moore, and her brother Bug Moore all of Spur, Texas. She is survived by her sister-in-law Sharon Moore; her nephews and nieces, Misti Moore of Lubbock; Cody and wife Courtnie Moore of Abernathy; A.J. Moore of Spur; and Michelle and husband Chance Cupp of Spur. Jeannie also left behind several great-nieces and greatnephews, cousins, and many loving friends.
