The regularly scheduled meeting of the Spur City Council Jan. 19, 2021, proceeded routinely enough, but by the time it was over, talk outside of council’s closed executive session that evening began to circulate that action was forthcoming regarding the city’s police force, possibly involving disbanding the department.
