Allen Ray Martin, 1965–2022

Allen Ray Martin was born on August 2,1965 in Matador, Texas, to Alvin and Jan Martin. He was suddenly called home on May 17, 2022. Ray was a man who knew no stranger; he enjoyed talking to everyone. He loved life and his family.

Ray was a farmer and a volunteer firefighter for Matador VFD and earned several awards. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, working on anything with a motor, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids.

If you needed help or something fixed, Ray was the man you called.

Ray is survived by his “crazy love” companion of six lovedfilled years, Angie Taylor; his children, Sandra Reyes of Georgia, Christopher Williams of Floydada, Michaela Morales of Spur, Skylor and Rose Taylor of Ralls, and Raylee Martin of Matador; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He is also survived by his parents; his brothers Clay and Debbie Martin and Randy and Brenda Martin of Matador; numerous nieces and nephews; his Street Mob MC family; and a world full of friends.

Ray’s grandson said it best: “Grandpa Ray could make everything ten times better!”

Ray was laid to rest Saturday, May 21, 2022, at the East Mound Cemetery in Matador. A memorial service at Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Matador preceded the burial.
