Throughout Dickens County there are registered storm shelters for public use, according to EMS coordinator Matt Hindman.The Dickens County courthouse annex is a designated storm shelter serving the Dickens and the surrounding area. In Spur, shelters are located at the Spur Community Center (basement) and at the Spur Schools’Dog Domes.
