Dottie“Refugia” Ramirez, 1945–2023

Dottie “ Refug i a” Ramirez 77 of Spur passed away May 24, 2023. She was born July 4, 1945 in Robstown, Texas, to Pedro and Marianna Hernandez Ramirez. Dottie loved her grandchildren more than anything but also enjoyed watching rodeos on the TV and listening to music. Her favorite pastime was getting her family together for family time.

Dottie is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Castillo H. Ramirez, Victor Ramirez, Blasa Ramirez, and Lupe Ramirez.

Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters, Ruby Hooton and her husband, Mark, of Spur, Rachel Pesina and her husband, Mike, of San Angelo, Hope Ortiz and her husband, Willie, of Spur; two sons, Bruce Sharpels of Stephenville and Rudy Molina Jr. of Spur; a sister, Valentina Kautz, of Dickens; her grandchildren, Elizabeth and Kevin Brock, Amanda Taylor, Crystal and Jered Snow, Isaac and Ana Pesina, Christopher Alanis Sharpels, Alyssa and Raul Rey Pesina, Olivia Ortiz, Colton Sharpels, Willie Ortiz III, Casyn Sharpels and Pablo Ortiz; and her greatgrandchildren, Kayden Taylor, Nathan Brock, Karsen Taylor, Kaleb Brock, Peyton Taylor, Mason Taylor, Autumn Taylor, Madilyne Pesina, Silly Celi Ray, Aubrie Munoz, Eric Munoz, Celeste Munoz.

Urn interment will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday June 3, 2023 in the Eakins Cemetery in Ponder, Texas.
