Christie Ann Cantu Pecina, 1981–2024

Christie Ann Cantu Pecina, 42, of Spur, TX, was born in Wichita Falls, TX, on May 4, 1981. She went home to be with our lord on December 25, 2023. Christie was a strong, loving and loyal friend to those that knew her. She was the kind of person you met once and made an impression that would last a lifetime. Christie was a devoted daughter, loyal sister, protective mom and loving grandmother.

She is survived by her parents, father Crisanto Cantu and wife Dana Cantu of Lubbock, mother Annette Cantu of Spur; eight siblings, Shelly Sanchez and husband Jimmy Sanchez, Susan Garcia and husband David Garcia of Lubbock, Christopher Cantu of Spur, Richard Webb, Zachary Webb, John Cantu and fiancé Violet Sertuche of Lubbock, Donovan Cantu and fiance Brittany Locke, Roy Cantu residing in San Angelo; husband Margarito Pecina of Lubbock; five and children Pablo Flores of Lubbock, Isaiah Flores, Margarito Pecina, Dominique Pecina and Alexander Pecina of Spur. Christie also fostered three children; Kay McClay, Mac McClay and Martel Hines of Spur, and had three grandchildren, Kai Flores, Cameron Flores and Skylar Flores of Lubbock.

A viewing was held Friday December 29, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday December 30, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Zapata Funeral Home.
