Sharrie Don Chapman Hart, 1998–2024
Sharrie Don Chapman Hart of Vaughn, New Mexico, died unexpectedly of a short illness at Covenant Hospital on January 3, 2024, at the age of 25.
Sharrie was born on August 29, 1998, in Lubbock, Texas, to Bobby Chapman and Heaven Dobitas. Sharrie graduated from Hamilton High School in 2017. Sharrie married Matthew Hart on July 26, 2017. Sharrie lived her life to the fullest. She never met a stranger, and if she did, they were not a stranger very long. Sharrie loved to the deepest, but most she loved to laugh and be goofy. She had a love for all animals; it didn’t matter how big or small the animals were, if you could take it home, she did.
Sharrie is survived by her two children, Stetson Don Hart of Dickens, Texas, and James Daniel Keith, Jr., of Lubbock; husband Matthew Stetson Hart of Vaughn, New Mexico; parents Heaven Dobitas (mother) and Justin Dobitas (stepfather) of Lubbock, and Bobby Chapman (father) and Heather Chapman (stepmother); three sisters, Donny Chapman (Walter Goodman) of Lubbock, Ranae Chapman of Lubbock and Magen (Josh) Allen of Dickens, Texas; sister-in-law Amery (Jordon) Butler of Petersburg, Texas; brother-in-law Tanner Hart of Clines Corners, New Mexico; grandparents Kimberly Faulkner of Eastland Texas, Sue Dawson of Dickens, Miller and Jean Marshall and Tom and Marilyn Taylor of Spur, Texas; and greatgrandmother Joyce Burns of Lubbock Texas.
Sharrie is preceded in death by grandfathers Timothy Elliott of Lubbock, Jeff Dawson of Dickens, Charles Burns of Lubbock, and Bobby Chapman, Sr., of Lubbock.
A memorial service is scheduled for January 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Lonestar Cowboy Church, 1309 FM 1585, Lubbock, Texas. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Sharrie’s life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to animal shelters of your choice.
