The Spur Senior Citizens Center, located at 210 Burlington Ave., serves a noon meal Monday through Friday. The cost for seniors over 60 is $4; everyone else is always welcome, for $9.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Small nonfarm businesses in 29 Texas counties and neighboring counties in Oklahoma are now eligible to apply for lowinterest federal disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration, announced Francisco Sánchez Jr., associate administrator for the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience at the Small Business Administration. These loans offset economic losses because of reduced revenues caused by drought in the following primary counties that began Sept. 17.
