Our recent wave of warm temperatures, coupled with other conditions, has given us a glorious Indian summer. A true “Indian summer” has certain conditions that have to be met, and we aren’t gifted gifted with one every year. This is a period of time in late autumn with unseasonably warm temperatures, dry weather, cloudless but hazy skies, sunny days and cool nights (American Meteorological Society).
