Patton Springs competed last week at the Area track meet in Petersburg and advanced two athletes to the Regional meet, which will be held April 27 and 28 at South Plains College in Levelland.

Advancing to Regional track competition are Bucki Smith (400m, 800m, 1600m), Allee Hamilton (3200m, 1600m), Emmy Swaringen (100m, 200m, triple jump), Tatum Walker (shot put), Chelsea Davis (shot put, discus), Gunnir Bateman (4x200m relay) Margarito Pesina (4x200m relay), Josh Ortiz (4x200m relay, 300 hurdles, long jump), Cory Hamilton (4x200m relay), Ryan Davis (4x200m relay, pole vault), Kayden Martinez (discus) and Ace Walker (pole vault).

Oats are so versatile. I grew up with quick-cooking oats and old fashion rolled oats. My mom fed us well, and stirred up a pot of warm oatmeal quite often. I liked them with the basic pat of butter, splash of milk, and spoonful of sugar.

The Spur Senior Citizens Center, located at 210 Burlington Ave., serves a noon meal Monday through Friday. The dining room is open, or if you feel more comfortable during the Covid-19 pandemic, we are offering a curbside lunch you can reserve by calling (806) 271-4472. A donation is always appreciated. The cost for seniors over 60 is $4; everyone else is always welcome, for $8. Low Fat Milk, Tea with Lemon or Water Available with all Meals.
