On Friday, September 29, Spur played the Division 2–ranked Jayton Jaybirds at Spur’s Jones Stadium. The Spur Bulldogs gave it all but came up short with a final score of 63–6. The Dogs fought hard and never gave up as they battled the Jayton Jaybirds.

Jaybirds top Bulldogs in next-door-neighbors rivalry

“Playing Spur always brings it out of us,” said Jayton Jaybirds head coach Josh Stanaland. “It’s been a traditional rivalry, so to get to line up against these guys is a lot of fun. We’ve got a ton of respect for them and for their program and for Coach Clark and Coach Conrad and their coaching staff. Just a good game, the kids played well and executed.”

28th Annual ‘Return to the Remuda’ in Guthrie Oct. 6-7

Since 1996 “The Four Sixes” in Guthrie has hosted “The Return to the Remuda,” a two-day horse demonstration and sale, in partnership with some of the leading ranches in the country. This year’s event will be October 6 and 7 and they are partnering with Beggs Cattle Company, Pitchfork Land & Cattle Company, Tongue River Ranch, King Ranch, Wagonhound Land & Livestock and Circle Bar Ranch.
