AUSTIN — Gov. Greg Abbott on July 2 issued an executive order to slow the spread of the deadly coronavirus while keeping Texas as open as possible for business.
At its regular meeting June 22, 2020, the Kent County Commissioners’ Court approved Jayton-Girard ISD’s request $348,063.22 from Permanent School Funds for planned capital improvements, and also approved a reinvestment of $321,650.72 in Permanent School Funds at Plains Capital Bank at the rate of 1.15% and due to mature September 12, 2021.
Back in March the U.S. Treasury Department and the Internal Revenue Service announced special 2019 tax filing and payment relief arrangements to individuals and businesses in response to the Covid-19 outbreak.
