HOUSTON—Karen King Berg passed away on April 11, 2020, at the home she shared with her daughter and family in Houston, Texas. She was born in Lubbock, Texas, on October 2, 1941 to parents John and Leona Denson King and moved at an early age to Spur. She spent most of her early life there, with her parents, her grandparents J. L and Georgia Riter King, and her sister Sue. In 1958, Karen moved with her family to Alamogordo, N.M., and there graduated from Alamogordo High School in 1960.
