Raul Vinton Frausto, age 74

Raul Vinton Frausto passed away on April 6, 2022 at the age of 74, surrounded by his loved ones by his side. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Raul came out a hero and stayed strong until the very end. He spent 48 years in the power line industry teaching and training his entire career. His name is known throughout the entire industry because of his knowledge and ability to add to the industry. To this day he talked about the numerous miles of power line projects that he was a part of. He is a legend in our eyes, a true leader for us all to remember.

Paula Dean Foreman Crausbay, 80, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on March 21, 2022 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital. Paula was born on August 6, 1941 at Spur, Texas, to Murle and Ruth Foreman. She was raised on a farm in Dickens County. She married Neal Crausbay on January 29, 1959 in Cleburne, Texas. Her two sons were raised in Lubbock, Texas, before the family moved to Sweetwater in 1974, where her husband was the bookkeeper at Sweetwater Cot ton Oil Mill while she worked at the cotton compresses.

Nelson Douglas Smith, 76, was born September 30, 1945 in Spur, Texas, to George and Neva (Gunn) Smith. He was lovingly known as Poppy by his family and Doug by his friends and extended family. Doug passed peacefully in his favorite spot, in his chair at his home in Girard, Texas. He was getting ready to go to one of his favorite pastimes, watching his grandchildren play ball.
