WAXAHACHIE—Vera Crafton Newton went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at the home of her son in Waxahachie, Texas.

Roger Clad Bradford Sr. passed away on June 11, 2022. Roger was born on December 2, 1940 in Spur, Texas, to Ira and Juanita Bradford. He attended Spur Public School and graduated in 1959. He met the love of his life, Peggy Henderson, and they married on June 1, 1960. Roger was a true cowboy who worked on numerous ranches, including 6666, Bridwell, Guitars, Kane Cattle Co. and Furrs, also day working on several more. He was also an ordained Baptist minister who loved the Lord and always let others know of His love.

Dwight Edward Dillashaw passed away on May 27, 2022. He was born December 9, 1939, in Spur, Texas, to Charles Edward and Aila Owens Dillashaw. His parents moved from Spur to Orange, Texas, during World War II. His early years were divided between Spur and Orange. Most of his time in Spur was spent growing up on the John Guitar Ranch in the home of his grandparents, Jess and Ola Owens. He was a 1958 graduate of Spur High School. He married Sandra Faubus on September 20, 1958 at the home of Cecil and Sybil Estep in the Dry Lake Community near Spur. Having married “the Farmer’s Daughter,” he farmed with his father-in-law, Floyd Faubus, until his passing in 1974.

The family of Nonnie Mack Lauderdale celebrated his life of 82 years at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 21, 2022 at the Espuela Cemetery in Dickens County. He passed at home on Sunday, May 15, 2022, after a 14-year battle with cancer.
