BRAVO TO BANDS The Spur and Jayton bands competed in UIL Marching Band competition in Lubbock at Lowery Field. For the first time in many year, the Spur band was awarded "1"s in the various aspects of their performance. They were 1 point from qualifying for State. Jayton had exceptional marks as well. Jayton was awarded "1s" for their performance and also was just a few marks from qualifying for State.
In the regular monthly meeting of the Spur Independent School District board of trustees on September 27, 2021, members approved the use of federal grant funds (Small Rural Schools ESSER II) to update technology infrastructure.
