A hunting tradition kicking off every autumn for more than two decades will soon be underway once more—the annual competition sponsored by Star Feed & Seed of Spur.
Readers of The Texas Spur may have seen a job posting from the City of Jayton for a new city secretary, and noted that this is the position currently held by longtime city secretary Michele Fager.
Those smart water meters the City of Spur has been installing in recent weeks are indeed pretty smart—right to the precise reading on the specified cutoff date and time each month, said City Secretary Ashley Carothers.
“Mix'd Cafe will be opening tomorrow,” read the post on sister enterprise Spur Hardware’s Facebook page. “This will be our first soft opening day of Homecoming weekend and we are so excited to share our little Cafe with the town.”
