Last week the Spur girls varsity basketball travelled to Guthrie, where they defeated the Lady Jags (ranked #21 in the Texas Girls Coach Association last week), 56-26. The win brought their season record to 15-11 and 3-1 in district. The loss put Guthrie at 19-5 for the season and 2-2 in district. The Spurettes are in the hunt for the playoffs, as they are in second place in the district, only behind theValley Lady Patriots, last year’s State runner-up.
