Class of 2024 Fundraiser coming up June 17

It was another gorgeous evening for the Tuesday golf scramble! Six teams were formed for play. Coming in at 4 under and a score of 32 under for the evening was the team of Jason Tanner, Amy Tanner, Riley Abbott, Landon Hinson and Bryan Beaty. Also coming in at 4 under was the team of Mike Day, Janie Day, Tyler Luke, Brandon M and Taylor. Congratulations to Mike Day for hitting closest to the pin and landing his drive 5'11' from the hole.

City of Spur continues to grapple with variance, animal issues

Requests to allow mobile homes and travel trailers as residences have demanded a goodly share of the Spur city council’s attention lately. But at last Tuesday night’s session, the city turned down two and allowed two. Decisions appeared to rest primarily on the resident’s intent and ability to complete more permanent living quarters within a reasonable time frame.
