Elections for county offices will be held Tuesday, March 3, and early voting begins Feb. 18. To help voters get to know candidates, The Texas Spur emailed every candidate a questionnaire covering biographies and insights on their decisions to seek public service. The Texas Spur has compiled the following information from standard sources, for voters’ use in informing themselves, and planning for voting early, by mail, or on Election Day. According to the Texas Secretary of State, “Voters are allowed to bring written materials into voting stations to assist them in casting their ballot"—and we encourage you to learn about candidates and propositions and to use this sample ballot to do so. Note that official ballots present information in both English and Spanish.
