As the Jayton Jaybirds found themselves in a hole early in their regional championship playoff game against the Balmorhea Bears, few expected to see what would eventually happen.
At the monthly meeting of the Jayton-Girard Independent School District on Monday, Nov. 6, trustees certified the results of the November 3 election, and new board member Jeff Arnold was sworn in by Kelsi Stanaland.
FOOD CHALLENGE Kent County 4-H Junior and Intermediate Food Challenge teams competed at the District 3 4-H Food Challenge Contest last week. BATTLE OF THE BIRDS The Jayton Jaybirds grounded the Chillicothe Eagles 45–0 Friday night in the bi-district championship game in Knox City.
