If you missed the duck eggs, the artisan bread, the local honey, the homemade preserves, or the décor, clothing and jewelry from the first Spur Farmers’ Market and Crafters’ Market in March, it’s back.
It’s not often that a small-town high school graduates triplets, and we regret that in typing the class profiles for last week’s special Class of 2020 Keepsake Issue we mixed up the college plans for two of the seniors. One, Garrett McCormick, happened to be class valedictorian. We apologize to both students and their families.
In Spur City Council action May 19, the city selected Barbie Barnes Norman of Spur as city secretary to succeed Laura Adams, who will stay on to train the new hire. A graduate of Roosevelt High School in Lubbock, Norman holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in leadership from Lubbock Christian University. She is married to Spur principal Michael Norman and has lived in Spur for several years.
