• Bitcoin mining is creating jobs in rural Texas. Argo Blockchain, currently building their flagship facility in Dickens County, has pledged to create at least 20 local jobs in the community. Dickens County has struggled with low employment numbers since the closing of the local prison in 2010. A hiring fair is scheduled for December 3, 2021 at the Dickens County Senior Center located at 511 Montgomery St., Dickens, Texas.
