In the regular monthly meeting of the Jayton-Girard Independent School District board of trustees on April 19, discussions began about the school adding baseball as a UIL sport. No action was taken on adding baseball at this time.

The following students were recognized for doing exceptional things in the classroom or around the school.

The decade-long tradition continues as teams from across the area will converge in Spur June 10-11 for FBC Spur’s annual Coed Softball Tournament. The roster is already full this year with teams from Idalou, Crosbyton, Jayton and Spur. The Can-Tex Mounties return to defend their title against a mixed field of regulars and newcomers.

We had so much fun the last time we had a Minute to Win It game night that we are going to do it again.
