WINTERFEST WINNERS In the Kent County Winterfest Lighted Christmas Parade Wednesday evening, the winners were 1st place, Kent County 4-H; 2nd place, Jace Chisum and friends; 3rd place, Jayton Church of Christ youth.
Judge Shane Hadaway with Texas’ 39th District Court, which covers Kent, Stonewall and Throckmorton Counties, has been elected to membership in the Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation, according to a news release from the organization.
JAYTON JOURNEY ENDS The Motley County Matadors defeated the Jayton Jaybirds 60 to 8 to end the Jaybirds’ 2021 football season in the state quarterfinals Friday night in Idalou. See story on page 5.
