Elaine Lovell and Melva Harris, both of Spur retired this year after a combined 56 years serving the membership of South Plains Electric Cooperative. Elaine Lovell retired April 3 after serving the members for 25 years. Elaine worked at the co-op’s office in Spur as a member service representative. Melva Harris retired July 10 after serving tmembers for 31 years as member service supervisor in the Spur office. South Plains Electric Cooperative, a local Touchstone Energy Cooperative, serves more than 60,000 connected meters in all or part of 18 counties.
