Sarah Irick of Lubbock will serve as the new nurse practitioner at the Motley County Clinic upon the retirement of Gail Ream, who has served the community in that capacity for many years.
A trio of downtown partners have come together to spearhead a new bi-weekly farmers’ market in downtown Spur every other Saturday at Rickels Park, starting March 7, 2020.
The Texas primary will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Early voting began February 18 and continues through February 28. Early voting is held at the Dickens County courthouse and the Kent County courthouse.

Anne Burnett Windfohr Marion, president of Burnett Ranches, LLC, which includes the Four Sixes Ranch in King County, Texas, died Tuesday, Feb. 11, in California, according to Cody Hartley, director of the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico, which Marion founded with her husband. She was 81.
TSTC’s Wind Energy Technology program and BayWa r.e. Wind will host a Program Highlight Day from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at Aspermont High School in Stonewall County. Students from Jayton, Roby and Rotan high schools are also scheduled to attend.
